HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELDER RUSHTON

Sister Bush and Sister Pruner dropped in with a birthday hat and cake for Ned's birthday. They also sang to him. They are the best sisters. We sure love them.

They made the cakes look like the scriptures. They also gave us a small white board to use when we teach English.

 2015 VALENTINE'S DAY

We enjoyed a session at the temple with other senior couples. Afterward we gathered at the church house next to it for a potluck luncheon.

We drove up to visit Christina Lay and her son, David Come, at the UNC Hospital. He has been in there for nearly 4 weeks with pneumonia. After they moved him out of PICU last week she sleeps right in the bed with him. She's never far from him. She hopes to bring him home this week. She told us that her pregnancy, delivery and the first 2 months of his life were perfectly normal. At 2 months he caught the chickenpox. He developed a serious infection that settled in his lungs and spread to his brain, leaving him with brain and lung damage. They were still living in the refugee camp in Thailand at the time. We couldn't help but wonder if the outcome would have been different if they had been here in the states.
